Bloomington, IL. –In football, the offseason is always loaded with player movement. Although for the Edge and Center Connor Hart things worked differently. Returning for his third season with the Edge, Connor is excited to get the pads on and back to work.
“It really means I enjoy being here and that I love and respect the coaching staff and fans," Hart said about his return.
Not only is Connor eager about his return, but so is Edge head coach Nick Ruud.
“Connor is a smart, nasty, physical center who has gotten better year after year. He is going into his 3rd year of indoor and plays with some of the best technique you will see," Ruud reflected. "He put in the work this off-season and gotten his size up to where it needs to be to play at an elite level. We are extremely excited to get Connor back with the Edge."
Keeping continuity is a key to success in football and with the recent players that have been re-signed the team will only benefit. On his thoughts about the upcoming season and individual goals, Connor made sure to not think too forward, but instead took a more cautious approach.
“As a team we have to take baby steps, one game at a time,” said Hart. “We can’t get too far ahead. As far as individually, just to get better, progress and being the best center I can be and in the league.”
